about our family
In 2023 we bought our first home with a dream of one day turning it into our own little homestead. The house we purchased actually came with four old chickens (yes, actually!) so that’s where we started!
Less fun than the chickens, however, was the yard absolutely DROWNING in sand burrs. But instead of drenching our soil in weed killer, we looked to the concepts of permaculture design to help restore our land to its natural potential! That’s why we call it “Burr-Berry Farms!”
At Burr-Berry Farms we work with nature — not against it. We pride ourselves on creating sustainable systems that emphasize regenerative soil building practices to deliver food that’s good for the earth, and for the community!
